Thousands Of Buffalo Bills & NFL Fans Have Started Multiple Petitions Aimed At Investigating The Kansas City Chiefs And Boycotting The Super Bowl
The entire NFL world has had enough of the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Chiefs’ dramatic victory over the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship has sparked a major backlash that has called for investigations and a boycott of Super Bowl LIX.
Fans of different NFL teams have been voicing their frustrations over perceived referee biases, an ongoing issue for some throughout the season.
Last Sunday, the Chiefs won 32-29 over the Bills, but it came with a ton of controversy.
The backlash against the Kansas City Chiefs stems from allegations of referee favoritism, with fans pointing to controversial calls that come during a time when it heavily benefits one team more than others.
Fans are so upset that thousands of Buffalo Bills fans and many other fan bases have begun creating petitions calling for an investigation of the team and the refs and an outright boycott of the league.
Despite the surging support, it’s doubtful the league will notice, especially after the historically high viewing ratings for the AFC Championship game.
Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs have been the subject of more scrutiny than usual lately, with increasing allegations of bias swirling on social media.
They, of course, do not think that they get a favorable whistle.
Andy Reid Speaks On The Kansas City Chiefs And Ref Controversy
The Kansas City Chiefs are preparing for their trip to New Orleans to take on the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl.
The team continues to get bombarded on social media with claims that they benefit from a favorable whistle.
Head coach Andy Reid wasn’t too concerned when asked about a petition to look at the officiating in the NFL.
“I mean, they can— whatever,” Reid said. “I think everything balances out. I mean, you’ve got a human element there with the officials. These guys are trying to do the best job they possibly can out there. They take a lot of heat one way or the other; coaches take a lot of heat one way or the other, so, I don’t pay much attention to it.”
