VIDEO: Washington Commanders Head Coach Dan Quinn Was Visibly Heartbroken After His Team Was Eliminated By Eagles In NFC Championship
Washington Commanders head coach Dan Quinn did the impossible in his first season with the franchise.
Despite their best efforts, the Washington Commanders were unable to upset the Philadelphia Eagles during Sunday’s NFC championship game.
What started as a tightly contested game ended in a lopsided 55-23 victory for the Eagles.
Dan Quinn had his work cut out for him after the game, as he had to speak to a bunch of heartbroken men.
Quinn shared his message to the team following their loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship.
“First thing, Tom, these are hard moments [in a] competitor’s life,” Quinn told reporter Tom Rinaldi. “The second thing that I said to ’em was savor this time with their teammates. They’ve created something together, this brotherhood that’s second to none. Not every locker room’s the same year to year. So I wanted to make sure they took a few minutes to know what they have created here.”
“And hopefully, that’s the type of style and energy that we want to play for years to come. It’s a fantastic group. I’ve had an absolute blast coaching these guys, man They’re some real competitors.”
Coming into the season, the Commanders couldn’t have been bigger underdogs, but talent overcame everything.
Dan Quinn Has Nothing To Hold His Head Down About
With a new head coach in Dan Quinn and a rookie quarterback in Jayden Daniels, the Washington Commanders were not looked at as a serious team that could do anything in year one of a rebuild.
They shocked everybody as the Washington Commanders reached the NFC Championship Game for the first time since 1992.
Quinn has over 30+ years of coaching experience, leading him to a successful career.
Nothing he has done will likely never be more impressive than the coaching job he did in his first season in Washington.
