VIDEO: Tom Brady Was Noticeable Sour When FOX Put Nick Foles On The TV Screen During Eagles-Commanders NFC Championship Game
Tom Brady has more Super Bowl rings (seven) than any other NFL player in history, but he’s still sour over the one that Nick Foles took from him in 2018.
Brady and Kevin Burkhardt were on the call in the broadcast booth for the NFC Championship Game between Foles’ old team, the Philadelphia Eagles, and the Washington Commanders at Lincoln Financial Field.
Foles and the Eagles fans in attendance were treated to a 55-23 blowout victory, winning their third conference championship since the 2017 season. Philly awaits the winner of the Kansas City Chiefs-Buffalo Bills AFC Championship Game in Super Bowl 59.
Cameras showed Philadelphia’s Super Bowl 52 MVP and hero watching the game at Lincoln Financial Field. Burkhardt teased Brady about it, and the three-time MVP admitted to still being a little sour about the Super Bowl loss:
“Nick I don’t hate you, I’m just jealous of you,” Brady said.” You caught it, I didn’t.”
Seven years ago, Foles led the Eagles to a 41-33 win over Tom Brady’s heavily-favored New England Patriots in the big game. Foles was named Super Bowl MVP after throwing for 373 yards and three touchdowns to go along with the “Philly Special” TD reception.
Tom Brady Won Two More Rings After Loss To Eagles
Brady rebounded from the Super Bowl 52 defeat just fine, winning two more rings in Super Bowls 53 and 55 to bring his ring total to seven.
