AFC Heavyweight Lands Dolphins Superstar WR Tyreek Hill In Blockbuster Trade Proposal That Would Make Them The Chiefs’ Biggest Threat
A blockbuster trade proposal has the Miami Dolphins trading superstar wide receiver Tyreek Hill to an AFC rival in a move that would cement them as the Kansas City Chiefs’ biggest threat.
After the Dolphins’ 2024 season ended with a 32-20 road loss to the New York Jets in Week 18, Tyreek Hill strongly indicated that he wanted out of Miami. Speaking to reporters, Hill said he had to do what’s best for him and said “I’m out, bro.”
Trade rumors surrounding the 30-year-old have quieted down in recent weeks, but Miami GM Chris Grier should be open to dealing the future Hall of Famer if he gets a lucrative offer from another GM.
Bleacher Report’s Maurice Moton proposed a blockbuster trade idea that has Miami trading Tyreek Hill to the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for a 2025 second-round draft pick:
“If the Dolphins prefer to move on from Hill rather than keep him with the chance that he eventually requests a trade, they could demand a second-round pick for him. If healthy, Hill is still one of the league’s best receivers…
Wide receivers Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman posted career-high receiving numbers in multiple categories, but they aren’t on the same tier as Hill in playmaking ability.
If the Ravens open the 2025 season with Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry and Hill, they would have arguably the league’s best quarterback-tailback-receiver trio.”
The Ravens were eliminated by Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills in the Divisional Round by a final score of 27-25. Unfortunately, Zay Flowers was sidelined for that game with a knee injury.
Baltimore has a nice set of playmakers led by Flowers, Mark Andrews, Isaiah Likely and Derrick Henry. But Lamar Jackson has never thrown to a player like Tyreek Hill, arguably the best wide receiver of his generation with six 1,000-yard seasons on his resume.
If Miami shops Hill, there will be no shortage of teams interested in his services. But the price has to be right for Grier, who has assembled a deep roster that’s still in win-now mode.
Tyreek Hill Had A Down 2024 Season In Miami
The eight-time Pro Bowler led the NFL in receiving yards (1,799) and receiving touchdowns (13) in 2023. But Hill’s numbers dropped considerably this season with star quarterback Tua Tagovailoa missing six games.
Tyreek Hill finished with only 81 receptions for 959 yards and six touchdowns, missing out on the 1K mark for the first time since 2019, when he missed four games.
